About Me

I have always enjoyed trying new things. But, I didn't think I would be able to find one thing to fall in love with. However, with art, I have found something that is so gratifying to work on, I feel like I can lose myself. I love showing off to others as they enjoy seeing my art. This has inspired me to teach others that they can develop this talent within themselves. I am currently teaching several summer classes, and hope to be able to start an after-school program this next school year in Enid, where I live, and the surrounding areas. My dream is to create a culture of art to surround myself with, and that will help to define both myself, and my community for years to come.
I was raised in Austin, Texas with my five siblings. Most of us were in our school band where we learned about music and teamwork. While I always enjoyed music, I felt that I needed something a little more concrete to express myself. In middle school, I had several friends that drew, I liked looking at their drawings and how they used them to express themselves. I took an art class in middle school but I wasn't very good so I didn't pursue it at the time even though I had loads of fun. Though high school, i drew every now and then as I felt the need to express myself couldn't be contained anymore.
Growing up, my mother always taught me that I should do what I love. And my father inspired me because he does what he loves to support his family. So, when it came time to decide what I was going to major in at college, I just decided to go for it, and put everything I had into learning how to do well at what I loved.
I graduated from BYU-I with a bachelors degree, majoring in fine art, and now I am teaching art classes for the Enid area, currently striving to make my dreams come true.

Please contact me if you would like to commission a piece of art, or are interested in taking my art classes.
